STACKING THE SHELVES #12

All the books I got this month are ebooks, so hopefully, I'll read them quickly too!

I love this series, and I just started reading it today, so excited!

3. Wrapped Up in You(Heartbreaker Bay, #8) by Jill Shalvis:

          

            

I finished reading early this month(the day I got it haha) and loved it like I do every other Jill Shalvis book. 

4. Christmas Shopaholic(Shopaholic, #9) by Sophie Kinsella:

                       

 

         

I finished reading this today and absolutely loved it. I am going to review the whole series soon.

5. Coming Home for Christmas(Haven Point, #10) by RaeAnne Thayne:

          

            

I got ARC of this early this month and I am going to start reading as soon as I finish reading Archangel's War!

6. Wrapped Up in Christmas by Janice Lynn:

          

            

This was the book I randomly found while browsing through Netgalley titles and I'm super happy to have gotten approved just today. The reviews are all good too, so I'm looking forward to this one!

My Review:

The Country Guesthouse is the fifth instalment in Sullivan's Crossing series, but it can read as a standalone. This is a small-town, women's fiction and romance series. 

Hannah Russell’s life is not perfect at the moment because of frustrating colleagues and a cheating ex-fiance, but all her problems dissipate when life throws a curveball at her. Her best friend suddenly dies, leaving her the custody of her five-year-old son, Noah. Hannah needs to figure her life and Noah's life out. She ends up taking a vacation with Noah, bringing him to a cabin in Sullivan's Crossing.

Owen Abrams is the owner of the cabin and a photographer, who is staying in the renovated barn while renting the cabin, because of the cancellation of his plans. Our heroine, Hannah and Noah soon meet him, Noah and Owen immediately click and Owen's dog, Romeo too. Owen himself has grief from his past, he too comes out of his shell because of Hannah and Noah. The foursome quickly became close, though they had a few hurdles to overcome, they can be happy because they are together.

Noah was really cute and very admirable! I loved him. The people in the town were quite lovely as well! While reading this book, I kept thinking of the word 'healing'. It was definitely the theme of this book. I teared up while reading some parts and feeling real relief towards the end because these people so deserved something good to happen in their lives. Though somethings that happen in this book would normally feel like they're happening too fast, the writing was so good and the story so captivating, you are right there with the characters and its comes all naturally. 

I recently started reading women's fiction books and Robyn Carr is becoming my fast favourite authors of this genre, so I highly recommend this book!

COMEBACK WITH A READATHON | CHRISTMASATHON

                 

Hello everyone! I have been away for a while but I am finally back!
There have been a few ups and downs reading-wise this year. I was in a slump for a better part of the year, but when there were times I felt like reading, I not only read a whole book in a day, I gave various genres a try too. I suppose you go in a slump when you do the same things routinely for a long time, that's what happened with my reading. I feel like I've exhausted the genres that I was reading and thus, switching it up has helped. My interests are growing, that's why it has been a good year despite the said slump.
Having said that, I still love all the old genres of books that I used to read and I still continue to read them quite frequently, so I decided to take part in a readathon to finish this year on a high note. 

Here is my TBR:

1. Christmas Shopaholic (this whole series is strongly recommended by @fabulous_book_fiend.

2. Archangel's War by Nalini Singh and A Madness of Sunshine by Nalini Singh (Two books for this prompt because I am not sure which one will count and as I have both books on TBR already, so why not?)

3. Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis and Coming Home for Christmas by RaeAnne Thayne(Two books for this prompt, tbh, I have many on my TBR, but I don't know if I'll finish reading them all in time)

4.  I hear that Wrapped Up in You by Jill Shalvis has a morally grey character, the heroine's brother so maybe I'll count this book for the last prompt unless I find the main character to be grey.. that way Archangel's War has a BIG villain too so that one fits this prompt as well.
